Repairs
Repairs Questions
First, do not force it - running the opener against a stuck door causes more damage. Check whether the opener light is blinking (usually a sensor issue) and look for a visible gap in the spring above the door (a broken spring). Then call us at (714) 577-2899 and describe what you see; we can often diagnose over the phone.
The classic signs: a loud bang from the garage, a door that only lifts a few inches, a visible 2-inch gap in the coil above the door, or a door that feels extremely heavy when lifted by hand. If you see any of these, stop using the door and call us.
Our rule of thumb: if the panels and frame are sound, repair almost always wins - springs, cables, rollers, and openers are all replaceable. If multiple panels are damaged, the door is rusting through, or repair costs approach half the price of a new door, replacement makes more sense. We will give you both numbers and our honest recommendation.
Standard springs are rated for about 10,000 cycles - roughly 5 to 7 years for a family opening the door 4 to 6 times a day. High-cycle springs rated for 25,000+ cycles are available and last two to three times longer.
New Doors & Openers
New Doors & Openers Questions
Clopay is our primary door line, with additional options available on request. For openers we install LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie - including smart Wi-Fi models with battery backup.
Yes. California law (SB-969) requires battery backup on newly installed garage door openers. Every opener we install complies.
Most residential installations take a single day: old door and tracks out in the morning, new door in, balanced, and tested by the afternoon. Custom doors are built to order, so plan for a few weeks of lead time before install day.
Warranty & Payment
Warranty & Payment Questions
Yes. Our repairs are backed by a workmanship warranty, and the parts and doors we install carry manufacturer warranties on top. See our Warranty page for details.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, and checks. Payment is due when the work is complete and you are satisfied.
