Torsion Spring Replacement in Fountain Valley, CA
Snapped torsion spring on a 16-foot double door. Replaced both springs, re-cabled, and rebalanced - same-day.
Fountain Valley, California · Garage Door Spring Repair
The Problem
The homeowner heard a loud bang overnight, and by morning the double door would only lift a few inches before the opener gave up. On arrival we found one snapped torsion spring with a clear two-inch gap in the coil - and a second spring with the same cycle count, weeks from the same fate.
What We Did
We quoted both a single-spring and a both-springs price on the spot. The homeowner chose to replace the pair. We unloaded the remaining tension safely, installed two matched springs sized to the door’s weight, replaced the lift cables while the drums were accessible, and set the correct winding turns.
The Result
The door balances perfectly at the halfway point and the opener force settings are back to factory-normal instead of straining. Total time on-site: about 90 minutes, done the same day the customer called.

Our garage door opener stopped responding and we could not get the door to move at all. House Garage Doors came out the next morning to our home in Huntington Beach, replaced the opener, programmed the remotes, and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. Fast, honest service and very clean work. Really grateful for how smoothly they handled everything.

A car accidentally hit our garage door and bent two of the panels. I thought we would need to replace the entire door, but House Garage Doors was able to match the panels perfectly and replace only the damaged sections. The door looks brand new again. I really appreciated their honesty, fair pricing, and the quality of the work.
